You don’t need to be flawless with your diet and workouts this season to make progress. You just need a plan that keeps you moving in the right direction. Here’s how to stay consistent without feeling like you’re missing out on all the holiday fun:

  1. Plan your indulgences. Heading to a holiday party? Eat a protein-rich meal beforehand to avoid going overboard on snacks and desserts. Choose indulgences you’ll really enjoy, but don’t let one treat derail your entire week.
  2. Keep your workouts flexible. Can’t make it to the gym? No problem. Home workouts or even a 20-minute bodyweight session can keep you on track. Staying active, even in small ways, adds up.
  3. Don’t let one bad day snowball. Maybe you skipped a workout or overate at dinner. It happens! The key is to get back on track at your next meal or workout. One day won’t undo your progress—weeks of inconsistency will.
